I was very honored to be a part of Half Moon Bay Yacht Club's annual woman's sailing event called "Take the Tiller" a couple of weeks ago. It was an all day hands on affair, geared towards women with moderate sailing skills, to build confidence and command at the helm. When the women came in off of their eventful day on the water, we gathered together in the yacht club's wonderful meeting space. Martha Huddle, who runs the women's sailing program invited me to be the keynote speaker for the event so that I could share my experience of the Singlehanded Transpac and all that I learned as a result. I was thrilled to be able to share my journey with such an engaged and enthusiastic crowd!
